Bluejay Role: Bluejay Advisors sourced the transaction for a middle-market private equity firm and conducted diligence on the company. Diligence procedures included customer calls, safety/compliance, technology capability, management assessment, operational review, equipment/CapEx review, and business process assessment. The company overleveraged due to new equipment purchases, exposed to litigation due to a fatality accident, and restricted growth due to a prior non-compete. The private equity group able to combine the company with another operation to improve utilization, mitigate the exposure, and to manage around the restrictions.

Client Description: KJM Capital is a private equity firm comprised of a team of financial and C-level operating executives each with over 20 years of experience acquiring and managing private equity portfolio companies.

Target Description: Interride Transport is a refrigerated truckload carrier offering value-added transportation solutions out of Salt Lake City Utah.
