Bluejay prepared a successful $18 million Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Rail Crossing Elimination (RCE) grant application to fund eliminating and reconfiguring approaches at rail crossings that lead to an industrial site in Everett, Washington.
The Smith Island Safety: Grade Crossings Elimination and Highway Connections Project consists of constructing an overpass over a busy BNSF Railway mainline in Everett, Washington, closing two highway-rail grade crossings, and making safety improvements to an adjoining roadway intersection. The new overpass will host the more than 1,500 heavy trucks daily traveling between industrial facilities and regional roads in northwest Washington.
Congratulations to Smith Island Terminal and the City of Everett for this important project funding.
The RCE Program is one of several Federal infrastructure-related grant programs, many of which were created and funded by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The BIL provides $1.2 trillion of Federal investments in infrastructure through fiscal year 2026. Take advantage of the funding today for your project by contacting Bluejay Advisors for your Federal and state grant application needs.
